Gary Ling

Until recently, Gary was a Strategy Director in the new business team at new media agency Entranet. Here he helped craft the online strategy to underpin the build and development of Entranet's client's online brand, service and product propositions. He also helped client's in devising optimum partner and alliance strategies to develop an online presence that maximised Return on Investment.

Before joining the Entranet Strategy team Gary was EBusiness Marketing Leader with GE Capital Global Consumer Finance where he supported GCF UK's retail clients online. Gary commissioned his first web site in 1996 when he was Marketing Director for Time Manager International. The TMI site was one of the first interactive commercial sites online in the UK. Before joining TMI Gary served as an army officer and as a consultant for Andersen Consulting where he worked on one of the first IBM PCs imported into the UK in 1983. Gary was educated at the University of Aberdeen, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and City University Business School where he earned an MBA. He is an enthusiastic and committed warrior of the digital revolution and regularly comments on the EBusiness environment at conferences, in print and online.
